Rain changes everything: the grip, the turf, and the ball flight. But with the right preparation, you can beat the field while they complain about the weather.
Water reduces the ball's compression. In heavy rain, the air is denser and the ball won't fly as far. Add at least one club for every shot, even if there is no wind.
Carry at least three pairs of rain gloves. Once your grips get wet, the round is over. Keep your towels dry under an umbrella at all times.
Wet greens are slow and don't break as much. Hit your putts firmer and play less break than you see visually.
